Tyler Moore – My New WordPress Websites Hero!

As much as I like to think I enjoy designing/building websites – the fact is, it’s not really a passion (or strength) of mine. It’s everything that comes after the site is created that get’s me going!

So, rather than beating my head against the wall trying to create killer WordPress tutorials, I’ve decided it makes way more sense to find some created by seriously talented people who are not only great at building/designing websites, but who are also excellent teachers.

One such person is Tyler Moore. This guy’s WordPress website building tutorials on YouTube are absolutely phenomenal! Far better in fact, that a lot of paid course materials I’ve come across over the years.

And he teaches exactly what most people are actually after – how to build a real website, from start to finish, step by step (with no step skipped).

What’s hilarious is that my friend Michelle MacDonald was one of the winners of a contest that Tyler held, and she got a free website out of it. Not only that, but – as per usual – he built the whole thing on camera, step-by-step, and uploaded it to YouTube.

WARNING: Tyler’s videos tend to be really long – and the one showing how he created Michelle’s site might just be the longest one he has (lol)! But keep in mind he is creating a full-fledged e-commerce site from scratch. It is like combining 30 different lessons into a single training.

Now obviously, I am in no way suggesting that you create a website exactly like Michelle’s (don’t think she would be too happy with me if that happened! LOL). The idea is to see what tools Tyler is using (and how he is using them) so you can create your own unique site.

If you have not yet created your own website, and you are looking for something fairly simple (yet powerful) – I HIGHLY recommend you watch the next video. In this one, Tyler creates what could end up as a fantastic small business website using the free “Responsive” WordPress theme. As the name implies, this theme is mobile responsive (will look great even on smaller devices) – something that is becoming more and more important.

It is also only about half the length of the previous video!

If you want to see some of the other great videos Tyler has created, I highly recommend you check out his YouTube channel.

Veiwed your you tube video about building your own website, I found it to be very informative, but hard to follow when trying to build the site and follow along with the video. My question is, do you have a hard copy on the same info as the video?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

  1. Tyler, I do not know that much about the internet and website development however, I am so impressed with your ability. You are truly a great teacher. when I’m ready to build my website, which I hope will be soon. I want you to help me or even build it for me. I’m wanting to promote my work out method, which can help people loose weight and build some muscle. It is very simple, and if people dedicate themselves they can achieve some success. I learned a lot on your tutorial but, I don’t have the ability to apply it. I hope one day I can have a website where I can generate some money. I need it. Respectfully, your friend Butch

    Hello Tyler,

I have been using Tessaract for a better part of the year, was please with it. Now I am trying to delete the website to concentrate solely on LinkedIn, trying to deal with both was too much for me. My question: I am not being able to delete the site although I have deleted all the pages, post, categories, media, and social media icons, do you think by having your Tessaract theme is not allow for the deletion? Hi Eunice (and others)
This was a blog post I wrote about Tyler – this is not actually Tyler’s website. Try tyler.com – there is no obvious contact form, but there is one for “feedback” so perhaps you can reach him there.

  2. Thank you Tyler for your help! I’m just learning how to build a website thanks to you.
I have a problem with one of the steps and I can’t find an answer on the internet! My problem is that I am 50 minutes into your tutorial video- editing my home page, however when I click in the visual editor box, the tool bar above doesn’t have all the options that are shown in the tutorial clip. Therefore, I don’t have the option to change text font, colour or size. I only have one row of icons with bold, italic, align etc. I’ve followed all the steps carefully so far but can’t go any further without this. Can anybody please help me? Thank you Sophie

Hi Sophie – again, this is NOT actually Tyler’s website. The blog post was a tribute to Tyler. His official website is tyler.com.
